MARRIAGE: IN-LAW PROBLEMS

Many husbands find that major in-law problems occur, and once started, seem to go from bad to worse. However, in the majority of cases, if an effort to get along with them is made, success usually follows.
It is a case of doing your best, hoping for the best, and seeing what eventuates. If a person makes a definite goal of getting on with the in-laws (in the event of not making the grade too well), success is nearly always inevitable.
Of course, if the situation is simply hopeless, you can always pack up and move to another town or another city. Couples have even been known to shift to another country!
Another "social factor" which is very well worth considering is religion.
Today, although religion is generally unpopular, and many seem to be opting out of it, religion plays a very important part in the lives of many people.
It is important to get your priorities right when it comes to this angle of marriage. Two things are fairly certain. Either you regard the concept of religion favorably, or you do not.
The second is that if you are favorably inclined towards it, ideally you should marry somebody who is either of your own faith, or at least one closely related. It can be courting disaster if you marry a partner who follows a faith which has strongly contrasting philosophies and practices.
